Cost per person: $70 per SEIDS member dentist and member staff, $130 for non-SEIDS members. ** Fee includes breakfast pastries and coffee in the morning and lunch.

More about Valerie Messer, RDH:

We had the pleasure of meeting Valerie Messer, RDH, for this education last year, and we are excited that she is returning this year for our day of education! Valerie Messer is a trusted dental professional, educator, and industry leader with nearly three decades of clinical and consulting experience, bringing patient-centered care to every role she serves. Licensed as an Indiana Dental Hygienist since 1996, Valerie is a graduate of the Indiana University School of Dentistry Dental Hygiene Program.

Since 2019, Valerie has served as a consultant with Absolute OSHA Consulting, providing on-site training in OSHA, HIPAA, ethics, CPR, and emergency preparedness for dental offices. She is a member of the Association for Dental Safety and earned the OSAP-DALE Foundation Dental Infection Prevention and Control Certificate in 2020. Valerie also serves as an Educator on behalf of Waterpik®, delivering education on the clinical benefits of water flossing.

In July 2025, Valerie was appointed Executive Director of the Indiana Dental Hygienists’ Association, where she leads initiatives that support advocacy, professional development, and the advancement of dental hygiene across the state. In February 2026, she was selected as a Hygienists Inspired Ambassador for Indiana through the American Dental Hygienists’ Association, further reflecting her dedication to leadership and mentorship within the profession.

Outside of dentistry, Valerie leads group fitness classes and has been a certified Group Fitness Instructor since 2009, demonstrating her ongoing commitment to health, wellness and empowering others through education.
