18 Jun Drinks Destroy Teeth Goes to Peru
Dr. Connie Ables Rigsbee, creative contributor and member of the Drinks Destroy Teeth Education outreach committee, and husband Dr. Chip Rigsbee, a Carmel orthodontist, have taken the Spanish version of Drinks Destroy Teeth to Peru.
In the Andes, Peruvian children also drink highly sugared soft drinks, leaving them susceptible to decay and erosion. When asked to bring teaching tools to villagers in the Andes the Rigsbees distributed toothbrushes and information on the effect of sugar and acid in drinks.
Drinks Destroy Teeth tools are available for your practice. At the Drinks Destroy Teeth website you can download the Fact Sheet to teach your patients about sugar and acid in many common drinks. The fact sheet is available in English and Spanish.
The Drinks Destroy Teeth mobile app is available for Apple and Android devices and provides a fun way for patients to learn first hand exactly how much sugar and acid they are consuming. Why not encourage your patients to check out the app while in your waiting room or dental chair?
